Two games left for Real Madrid before the roster flies back to Europe. Los Blancos will play against Inter Milan this Monday (14:00 CET) and against Milan on Thursday (14:00 CET), kicking-off their pre-season stage in China.
After a shaky debut 0-0 to AS Roma, Real Madrid offered a much-improved performance against Manchester City. Benítez's team won the match 4-1 but also showed some creativity and composure in the middle. Players like Casemiro or Isco did not disappoint, so Benítez will surely want to see more of the same from his players tomorrow.
3 things to watch for:
-Will James play? He shouldn't, given that he joined the squad this very same weekend and his body might not be ready enough to play under the hot -- and humid -- Chinese weather. James will have enough time ahead of him to get ready for next season, but Benítez might also want to give him a few minutes to see how he fits in his new attacking system.
-Ronaldo still in the center? Benítez moved Cristiano Ronaldo to the center of Madrid's attack as soon as Manchester City started to create some troubles through the flanks. Isco and Bale -- or sometimes Benzema -- helped Real Madrid's fullbacks, so the Portuguese star might find himself in that position again unless he's willing to work a little bit harder.
-Casemiro's defensive work. The Brazilian midfielder was very solid against City. He obviously doesn't have Modric or Kroos' distribution, but Casemiro could be a very valuable asset for Rafa Benítez is he can offer that physical presence in the center of the park.
