Jesús Vallejo is one of the most interesting prospects in Europe, and neither Real Madrid nor FC Barcelona want to see how their biggest rival land him. It'd be a complicated move, as Zaragoza want to keep Vallejo on loan for at least the next season. If they promote to Primera División next year, they could also keep him the year after as well. Real Madrid are very interested in the player but now they will have to fight against FC Barcelona, as it happened with the signings of Marco Asensio and Martin Ødegaard.
Apparently, this could be the key for the battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona for the player. Whichever club meets Zaragoza's demands will have more chances to sign Vallejo, according to a report from Chema R. Bravo, from Zaragoza's local newspaper El Heraldo de Aragón. Zaragoza will ask for €6 million to let Vallejo go, and both clubs are apparently willing to spend that money.
Vallejo is 18 years old and plays as a central-defender for Real Zaragoza. He is also the captain of the team. Zaragoza lost to UD Las Palmas in the Playoffs for promotion to Primera División.
