Although all news that have come out lately seem to indicate that Casillas would leave Real Madrid this summer, it has been not only until Porto's offer was made public that a wide sector of Spanish press has come to accept that our captain is heading out. The deal has not been made official yet, but it seems that all parties involved have accepted to scale back their ambitions in pursuit of a happy ending.

According to Marca, the deal will be made public quite soon (today, most likely) so that Iker will not need to travel to Australia for the pre-season stage. A well-deserved farewell ceremony will be held at the Santiago Bernabéu on Friday, at 13:00 CET, with the presence of the managing staff, the coaches, Real Madrid players and former captains Raúl González and José María Gutiérrez "Guti". It will be a good chance to pay tribute to an undisputed legend of Real Madrid.
