BREAKING: Iker Casillas to stay with Real Madrid

The agreement between Real Madrid and Casillas is almost broken, according to several reports from Spain.

When Casillas was almost getting on a plane to Oporto, the agreement between the goalkeeper and Real Madrid has fallen apart, according to reports from Marca, As, La Sexta and other Spanish media. Apparently, the goalkeeper would now want more money from Real Madrid after finding out that he would have to pay more taxes in Portugal than what he initially expected. This is all about the money.

Casillas' tribute was scheduled to take place this Friday, but he could now train with the rest of his teammates instead after meeting with Rafa Benítez and the roster today before these problems with his future contract happened.

If Casillas finally stays with Real Madrid, the Spanish club will likely give up on David De Gea to avoid controversy, leaving the goalkeeper position without any improvements from last season.

Real Madrid should just finish this saga and pay Casillas what he wants, as they must upgrade the goalkeeper spot.
