The Ramos-gate is over. The Spanish defender will sign a contract extension with Real Madrid this very same Thursday, according to La Sexta. Although Ramos wanted to increase his salary from €6 million to €10 million, he will finally earn €8 million/year and his new contract will expire in 2020.

There were strong rumors about Ramos joining Manchester United this summer, but the defender always wanted to stay with Madrid. He wanted more money and he used United in the process, something that the Red Devils will not appreciate. Madrid are still keen on signing De Gea this summer but United could not be willing to sell after this controversy.

Real Madrid and Ramos will announce their new deal this Thursday too, per that same report. Real's captain will have a ceremony with the press and his family, and he should speak in press conference as well. It will be interesting to hear what Ramos has to say about the negotiations and the rumors of his bad relationship with Florentino Pérez.
