Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Coentrao are back in training

Pepe and Benzema are still out and will miss the debut match against Sporting Gijón.

When Rafa Benítez said that Real Madrid only had two injured players, he meant this: Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Fàbio Coentrao are all back with the squad and will be ready to play against Sporting de Gijón. Coentrao's return adds a lot of depth to the left-back position although it seems right to question when he will get injured again. Madrid should probably try to sell him and bring another left-back but that doesn't seem very likely right now.

With Ronaldo healthy again, Benítez will have to choose between playing the Portuguese as the main striker or giving Jesé a much-deserved chance to replace Benzema and sit Isco or James on the bench. This will be Benítez's first test, because Jesé will definitely be disappointed if he doesn't start that match after his performances this pre-season.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema and Pepe are still working on their own, trying to recover in time for Real's first home game against Betis.
