Real Madrid are about to complete the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic. Los Blancos will pay €30 million for the Croatian player, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Rafa Benítez wanted the club to add another midfielder to the squad and his wish has been granted. Kovacic is a very interesting prospect who can be Modric's successor in this Real Madrid team, although it seems clear that he will not be starting this season unless injuries happen to Modric or Kroos.

If Madrid manage to sign Kovacic for €30 million, this is a very good deal for the club. He will have the time he needs to develop as a player close to Luka Modric, the player he is destined to replace in the Croatian national squad as well.

This will not be the last move by Real on the market, as Los Blancos still want to sign David De Gea and maybe a reserve striker too.
