Real Madrid, Jorge Mendes and Manchester United are still trying to complete David De Gea's move to the Spanish capital. All three parts involved want to get a deal done but the British club want to cash in the most money they can before the players leaves as a free agent next summer in case he stays with United this season.
Given that United have shown interest in Keylor Navas in the past, both Real Madrid and the Red Devils are exploring the possibility of a De Gea-Navas+cash swap, as reported weeks ago. United would still need to sign a goalkeeper if De Gea leaves and Navas will leave Madrid as he tries to become a starter elsewhere.
"De Gea will sign for Real Madrid this summer. Mendes is trying his best and everything will be solved during the last week of August. United want to sign a goalkeeper and Keylor is a good option for them. If De Gea signs for Real Madrid it could be problematic to find Keylor a club and that's why a swap could happen because United have always liked Navas," said Torrejón in Cadena SER.
