Real Madrid's preseason may not have been packed with goals, with star forwards Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale only tallying one goal apiece. Nevertheless, out of the 11 goals scored, some were true gems - either from majestic solo runs or from set-pieces.
Considering Real Madrid's firepower upfront, the team should be able to replicate most of this goals throughout the real season. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale and Karim Benzema will undoubtedly be more effective once they get in better shape. Again, Real Madrid struggled offensively throughout the whole pre-season stage, but Rafa Benítez is surely working to improve and bring back Real's menacing attacks while creating a defensive system that should be successful against elite opposition.
The fans will also need to keep an eye on Jesé, Isco and James during the campaign as they always score some beautiful goals for the team.
Below are Real Madrid's top five preseason goals.
#5 – Gareth Bale vs Tottenham
After an intelligent steal, the Welsh wizard fired home from outside the box with a powerful strike past Tottenham keeper Michel Vorm to make it 2-0 for Real Madrid.
#4 - Jesé Rodríguez vs Inter Milan
The Canarian born native scored inside the near post after having received a precise cross from Marcelo.
#3 - James Rodríguez vs Inter Milan
In his first outing for Real Madrid during the preseason, it took James no longer than ten minutes to get his name on the scoresheet, converting a sublime free-kick from distance.
