Real Madrid squad named for Liga BBVA opener against Sporting Gijón

Real Madrid released the squad list for their Liga BBVA opener against Sporting Gijón.

Goalkeepers: Kiko Casilla, Keylor Navas and Rubén Yáñez.
Defenders: Varane, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Carvajal, Danilo and Nacho.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Bale, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric and Isco.
Attackers: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lucas Vázquez and Jesé.

Mateo Kovacic has been included on that list while Asier Illarramendi and Denis Cheryshev will not travel with the squad. Does this mean that they will leave the club too? Arbeloa was also left out of the list.

Pepe has finally recovered from his leg problems and might even be able to make it into the starting XI though it seemed that Varane was set to start alongside Ramos. Other than that, there are not many surprises in this list. This is a strong Real Madrid squad that will be better once Karim Benzema comes back from his injury. It will be important for this Real Madrid team to begin La Liga with a win.
