CONFIRMED lineups: Sporting Gijón vs Real Madrid

Jesé has finally been given the chance to replace Karim Benzema and surprisingly enough Benítez has kept James Rodríguez on the bench. Varane also starts in Pepe's spot while Carvajal stays on the bench in favor of Danilo.

Real Madrid Starting XI: Navas; Danilo, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Kroos, Modric; Cristiano, Isco, Bale; Jesé.

Real Madrid will be hoping to kick off their Liga BBVA season with a win against Sporting before hosting Betis next Saturday. It will be very interesting to see whether Real Madrid can show some improvements from their mediocre performances this pre-season because they will struggle otherwise

With Jesé, Ronaldo, Isco and Bale upfront Real Madrid should have more than enough to collect the three points and kick off their Liga season properly. Benzema will be back with the team soon enough.
