Real Madrid and Manchester United want to complete the deal for De Gea this week

The British Premier League is about to start and David De Gea is still a Manchester United player. Still, the Red Devils know that it would not be healthy for them to keep the Spanish goalkeeper for an entire season just to see him leave the club as a free agent a year from now, so they want to sell him this week, sign his replacement and move on, according to Marca.

That's precisely what Real Madrid want as well. Los Blancos bought some time when they decided to sign Kiko Casilla two weeks ago, but De Gea remains their top priority in this transfer window. If Madrid finally sign De Gea this week, they would have the right time to find a proper club for Keylor Navas, who would be on his way out to get minutes as a starter.

Needless to say, this would also favour De Gea, who wants to avoid being whistled and booed by the United fans at the Old Trafford next Saturday.

It seems that all three parties involved would like this saga to end, so expect the signing to be completed soon.
