Important news in the David De Gea transfer saga. The Spanish goalkeeper is set to join Real Madrid as Manchester United and Los Blancos have begun talking about the transfer. United did not want to sell the player and were refusing to discuss the transfer until now, so one could expect that De Gea will be a Real Madrid player before the end of the Spanish transfer window (00:00 CET tonight).

Still, Real Madrid want to include Keylor Navas in the deal. The Costa Rican wants to leave the club if De Gea completes his signing and Madrid want to find a team for him. Considering how rapidly the transfer deadline is approaching, United seems like the most obvious destination for him as it would be hard to reach an agreement over his departure with any other club.

More news on this transfer saga will come up during the rest of the day.
