There are no real offers for Asier Illarramendi. Real Madrid would reportedly be willing to give up on the Spanish midfielder after two disappointing seasons with the club, but they are also ready to keep him if they need to. However, Rafa Benítez has told Illarramendi that he needs to find himself another club and big clubs like Liverpool or Arsenal are interested in him, according to a report from The Express.
If he stays with Real Madrid, Illarramendi would be the fourth midfielder in Benítez's squad after Modric, Kroos and Casemiro, meaning that he should not be expecting to get many minutes. Still, he seems keen on staying in Madrid, so it might not be easy to find Illarra a new club.
It would probably be smart to let him go, because he has shown a big lack of confidence that will haunt him forever if he keeps being a Real Madrid player.
