Ramos and Real Madrid appeared to have resolved their differences and the stage was set for the defender's contract extension with Los Blancos. However, Cadena SER are reporting that Ramos has rejected Real's latest offer and he would be willing to join Manchester United again, per that same report.
Real Madrid have offered Ramos €8.5 million/year but the Spanish center-backs wants to get at least €10 million/year. This new report is most likely a strategy to improve Real's offer, but it will not help the team with the first Liga BBVA game against Sporting de Gijón barely two weeks away.
It seems that Florentino Pérez will need to get back to work in order to get this extension done before the start of the season. Ramos seems determined to get that big extension and he is a man of word, so Manchester United could also try to make an offer for the defender if Ramos doesn't get what he wants.
