David De Gea will not play in Manchester United's opener against Tottenham Hotspur, manager Louis Van Gaal just confirmed. "He shall not play." Van Gaal said about De Gea. " A player is also a human being more than a player and he cannot manage that," added the Dutch.

It seems that United are ready to let De Gea go if a realistic offer from Real Madrid arrives. However, Los Blancos think that they should not pay more than €30 million for a player whose contract expires a year from now. Nonetheless, United want at least €40 million.

It seems that De Gea could have played his last match for Manchester United already. The Red Devils signed Argentinian Sergio Romero weeks ago and it seems that he will be his replacement if De Gea finally completes his move to Real Madrid this summer.

Still a long way to go before this summer's transfer window ends.
