More than one week after the De Gea signing collapsed, Florentino Pérez decided to show the document proving that Manchester United should be the one club to blame in the fiasco. Real Madrid's President visited El partido de las 12 for an interview and took the document with him.
Apparently, Manchester United introduced the information about De Gea one minute late before the deadline, at 23:00 British time. The FIFA TMS shut down at 23:59:59 CET (22:59:59 British time), meaning that United were late. Pérez keeps saying that he believes they did not do that on purpose.
He also said that Real Madrid will not go after David De Gea this January, so the goalkeeper will have to wait one whole year if he wants to sign for Real Madrid. Nobody knows what will happen with De Gea's future just yet as the goalkeeper seemed determined to join Madrid. United will likely offer him another contract extension and he could very well decide to accept it in order to move on from the controversy.
