As Real Madrid has confirmed just a few minutes ago, Danilo has suffered an injury during the FIFA break and will be out of the field for a while. A plantar fasciitis tear in his right foot will presumably prevent him from playing, at least, until October.

Dani Carvajal, who has not had a chance as a starter in any of Real Madrid's two league games so far, will replace Danilo from now on, and will have his back covered by Arbeloa and Nacho. This proves that it is obviously good to have a deep roster but unfortunately, the situation in other positions in Real Madrid's lineup is quite the opposite. All we can do now is hope that Marcelo will not even get a cold during the winter and wish Danilo a safe and fast recovery.
