Jorge Mendes was spotted at Manchester United's training ground today amidst reports suggesting that his client David De Gea is ready to sign a contract extension with the British club. His move to Real Madrid collapsed at the deadline and now De Gea seems determined to move on and concentrate on United's challenges ahead.
This would obviously make things very hard for Madrid should Los Blancos approach the keeper again. United would not be forced to sell him and that way his price tag would not be affordable. However, Mendes and De Gea are trying to include a €50 million release clause on their contract with United in order to keep the door open.
De Gea seems ready to return to Manchester United's starting XI this Saturday as his club will host Liverpool in a very important match for the Premier League title. Will Real Madrid give up on him if he signs that extension?
