BREAKING: Gareth Bale leaves the game with calf injury

Gareth Bale was forced to leave Real's match against Shakhtar with a calf injury. Kovacic was the one player replacing Bale barely a minute after Benzema scored Real Madrid's opening goal.

Bale injured himself as no contact with any defender happened on the play. This is never a good sign and the Welsh could be out for a while just like Danilo and James. Something is clearly wrong within Real Madrid's medical staff. Most fans thought that the players were going to be in better shape without Carlo Ancelotti but the truth is that three of Real's starters are now out.

Bale will run some tests on his calf tomorrow and that should confirm how serious the injury actually is. With James and Danilo out of the important game against Atlético at the Calderón, missing Bale for that game would also be very bad for Los Blancos.

Bale started the season in very good shape and this could stop his great form.
