De Gea now willing to sign contract extension with Manchester United?

Real Madrid might have lost the goalkeeper for good.

Although it was easy to predict that De Gea will sign for Real Madrid as a free agent next summer, the goalkeeper is now thinking about getting a contract extension with Manchester United, according to Marca. After all, Madrid were not able to complete the transfer and United's offer was always around €2 million/year better. Real probably think that they now will get the player for free, but will it be that easy?

De Gea has every right to feel disappointed with Madrid after how the deal collapsed. Los Blancos promised him a new life in Madrid and the keeper has been left in a very difficult position  for an entire year. Most reports indicate that he will play for United now, but how will the fans react?

Cadena SER reported last night that De Gea believes he's been fooled by everyone involved in the transfer and that his family wants him to extend his contract with United and end all the controversy.
