It's already been a while since Carlo Ancelotti's last game as Real Madrid's manager. The Italian coach turned down an offer from AC Milan and Olympique Marseille were also interested in signing him after Bielsa resigned. Ancelotti is taking a sabbatical but he had more than enough time to talk about his last club.

"I have no doubts about Cristiano Ronaldo, I know him and I am willing to bet on him for La Liga's top scorer. Last year he scored 61 goals for my team and this is just unbelievable," said the coach about Ronaldo.

"I know what it takes to coach Real Madrid and I wish Rafa Benítez all the best. I respect his work. He has a great squad at his disposal and I say this because I have been lucky enough to coach them throughout the last two seasons. Cristiano Ronaldo and Ramos are the two leaders of this team and I wish them all the best as well."

Ancelotti thinks that Atlético could contend for the title this season.

"This season will be like the last three years. Barcelona will fight to win the title again and I believe Atlético de Madrid will be there too. Simeone knows how to get the best out of his players; it was really hard to beat them on the Champions League Final two years ago!"
