FIFA Ballon D'Or 2016 preview: Time, TV schedule and live stream

Can Messi lose the award this year?

Cristiano Ronaldo has won two straight Ballons D'Or but thinks will most likely change today as Lionel Messi is clearly the favorite to win the award after Barcelona's treble last season. Ronaldo and Neymar will be his competitors and it will be interesting to see who ends up being the runner-up. If Messi finally wins this year's Ballon D'Or, it would be his fifth award.

James Rodríguez, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo will be the Real Madrid players travelling to Zurich for a ceremony that will start at 18:30 CET. Keep in mind that the winner will not be announced until 19:50 CET, as always.

Kaká will be the one delivering the award even though he's still active and playing for Orlando City in the Major League Soccer.

Keylor Navas, Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo, James, Modric, Kroos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema are nominated for the FIFPro's Best Starting XI of the year.
