FIFPro announced their World XI of the year during today's Ballon D'Or ceremony, and the team features four Real Madrid players in Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo.
While Ronaldo and Ramos are always chosen into that team, Modric and Marcelo's inclusions in the World XI are well-deserved. They are finally acknowledged as elite players in the world of football -- the best in their spots -- and that is something that they have been deserving for quite some time.
The World XI is the following: Neuer, Alves, Ramos, Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Pogba, Iniesta, Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Messi.
The winner of the 2015 Ballon D'Or will be announced shortly, although Messi is clearly the favorite to win it and conquer his fifth golden ball. The Argentinian won the treble with FC Barcelona in the 2014-2015 season and that is definitely one accomplishment that should give him the award as the leader of that team.
