Real Madrid published Gareth Bale's medical report and confirmed that the Welshman has a calf injury on his right leg. As always, they did not mention an estimated time of recovery, but Bale should be out at least two weeks in order to heal that injury properly.
After tests carried out today on the player Gareth Bale at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with soleus muscle injury in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
Bale has always had problems with his right calf and Real's medical staff should take this very seriously. Bale was playing very well this season and these injuries do nothing but hurt his development and momentum. Without the Welshman, James Rodríguez will most likely start for Real Madrid, although players like Jesé or Lucas Vázquez could also enjoy some more minutes from now on.
Bale should be ready to face AS Roma in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 if things go the right way. Real will visit the Italian club on February 17th in what will be Zinedine Zidane's first demanding test as Real's manager.
