Karim Benzema was able to train with the rest of the squad this Tuesday after leaving Real's home game against Sporting last Sunday. The French striker was going to test his ankle before stepping on the pitch but as he confirmed last Sunday, his injury "was just a knock."
Therefore, Benzema will not join Gareth Bale in Real Madrid's injury report. The Welshman will be out for at least two weeks with a calf injury and James Rodríguez will most likely take his place in the Starting XI.
Benzema is playing arguably the best football of his career and his absence would've hurt the team knowing that he is the only pure striker at Zidane's disposal. The French attacker will be available for Real Madrid's match against Betis (Sunday, 20:30 CET).
In other news, Sergio Ramos also rejoined the squad in today's training session after missing Sunday's home game with the recurrent problems in his shoulder.
