Real Madrid C. F. has announced that the FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to provisionally suspend the sanction imposed on the club.
This is Real's official update on the FIFA ban. This virtually means nothing, as the FIFA Appeal Committee will make a final decision on Real Madrid's ban before the summer transfer market begins, which means that Real Madrid could still face that ban.
It took them four months to make a final decision on Barcelona's ban and readers need to keep in mind that if Real Madrid are going to get their ban lifted it will probably be the CAS' doing, not the FIFA Appeal Committee.
Either way, Madrid should obviously have important news about this ban before July 1st, when the summer's transfer window begins.
It would be very important for Real to sign some players in order to add some depth to the current roster, so stay tuned for more news.
