Rafa Benítez might be on his way out of Real Madrid. According to Marca, the club could decide to release him this afternoon in a meeting with the members of the board. If that decision is made, Zinedine Zidane would be his replacement.
Benítez's Real Madrid could only get a 2-2 draw against Valencia yesterday, taking no advantage of Barcelona's draw at Espanyol on Saturday. Madrid did not play poorly but Benítez decided not to play neither Isco nor James a single minute and took Benzema off when the French striker was arguably being the best man on the field.
Real Madrid could decide to keep Rafa Benítez, but their lack of good results in La Liga could very well seal the coach's fate sooner rather than later. It might be a better option to shake things up and appoint a manager who has the respect and trust of the players: Zinedine Zidane.
