Real Madrid have announced that Luka Modric has signed a contract extension that will keep him with Los Blancos until the summer of 2020.

Real Madrid C. F. and Luka Modric have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract with the club until 30 June 2020. Luka Modric will appear before the media on Wednesday at 1:30pm in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

Modric signed for Real Madrid in 2012 and has become one of the world's best midfielders and an undisputed starter for Madrid. He has always been one of the main reasons behind Madrid's success in the Champions League.

Modric is 31 years old, so his new deal will expire when he turns 35, meaning that this could possibly be his last big contract in European football.

He is now currently injured and will not be able to feature in Real's next few games.
