Real Madrid published Pepe's medical report. The Portuguese defender was forced to leave the match against Alaves during the first half and could be out until the Madrid derby at the Vicente Calderon (November 19th).
After tests carried out today on Pepe at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 muscle injury in the femoral biceps of his left leg. His recovery will continue to be monitored.
Pepe will most likely stay out of the team for the next two matches against Legia (this Wednesday) and Leganes. That way, he would have the upcoming FIFA break to recover properly from this injury and face Atletico completely healthy and ready to go.
He has been a crucial player for Zidane since the French coach signed as Madrid's coach last January, so the coaching staff will most likely be careful with his injury to have him ready for an extended period of time.
