Reports from Spain have suggested that Isco is set to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid, but the player spoke to Cadena SER after Spain's 2-2 draw against England and denied the contract talks that have been reported.
"I don't know anything about my contract extension but I'm not worried about it because I still got time for it to expire," said Isco, who scored the equalizer late in regulation.
Real Madrid have been extending the contracts of many players recently. Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Toni Kroos have all signed their new deals and other players like Pepe and Carvajal will also reportedly get their extension soon. However, it now seems that Isco is not a priority for the club.
The Spanish midfielder hasn't been an important player for Zinedine Zidane but could see some minutes in the Madrid derby this Saturday as Casemiro and Kroos will almost certainly miss the match.
