Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale will miss El Clasico against FC Barcelona with an ankle injury, the club confirmed on their medical report.
After tests carried out on our player Gareth Bale at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a traumatic dislocation of the peroneal tendons of his right ankle. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
Although Real Madrid did not officially confirm how long Bale will be out, his ankle injury is clearly big enough to force him to miss the next two weeks. In fact, some reports coming from Spain suggest that Bale could be out until next January, meaning that he would miss the FIFA Club World Cup as well.
Bale suffered an ankle injury during Real's 1-2 win against Sporting Portugal and the first reports already suggested that his inflamed ankle was a concern.
He's a crucial player for Real Madrid and coach Zinedine Zidane will now have to find a replacement ahead of El Clasico.
