Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a five-year extension with Real Madrid, the club announced on their official website.
The official event for the renewal of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract will take place tomorrow, Monday 7 November at 1:30pm in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The Portuguese forward will extend his contract until 30 June 2021 at the event attended by club president Florentino Pérez and the player himself.
Ronaldo and Madrid had been negotiating for quite some time, even before the Portuguese star injured his knee during the UEFA Euro 2016 Final.
Ronaldo is 31 years old and will be 36 when his new deal with Madrid expires. Although he's arguably the greatest player in the history of the club, this move could be problematic down the road given his current form. Does Ronaldo have five more years left in his tank?
Florentino Perez and Ronaldo himself will speak to the press this Monday.
