For the moment, Madrid rejected the proposal.

Eintracht Frankfurt want to keep Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo around after his good performances throughout this first half of the season. The German side offered Real to extend the current deal for the next two years but Los Blancos rejected the proposal and will address Vallejo's situation next summer.

Vallejo is playing well enough to earn a spot in Madrid's first team next season, although it's true that he would be a reserve and that would not benefit his potential. The young defender must keep playing and that's exactly what Eintracht are offering, given that he is now an undisputed starter for the German side.

Pepe is not getting any younger, so Vallejo could be a very useful asset for Madrid in the not-so-distant future. However, Real must be patient with him so that the defender enjoys a good environment to grow as a player without the pressure around every Madrid prospect.
