In a very shocking turn of events, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos trained with the squad ahead of El Clasico against Barcelona, proving that he might be ready to make his return to the pitch sooner than expected.

Still, Kroos is almost certainly going to miss El Clasico. His foot injury was quite serious and it's been less than a month since he suffered said injury against Leganes. He should also be out next Wednesday against Borussia Dortmund in what will be the match deciding Real Madrid's fate in the Champions League.

However, Kroos is taking it step by step and could be ready to play in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

According to the latest reports from Spain, Kovacic, Modric and Isco will play in the midfield against Barcelona, as Casemiro isn't ready to be in the starting lineup just yet. Real Madrid shouldn't be in a hurry with Kroos' injury to avoid any setbacks.
