Norwegian international Martin Ødegaard is being linked to Dutch sides Ajax and Heerenveen, per Marca.

Earlier this month, Martinio was spotted in France at a Rennes match, where he was linked heavily over the summer. Ever since his arrival in Madrid, it’s been a foregone conclusion he’ll be loaned, it’s just a matter of where and when.

Heerenveen are a better suitor for Ødegaard, as Ajax are very deep in their midfield, and Real might find themselves in a similar situation as Borja Mayoral in Wolfsburg -- a young dynamo unable to get minutes. The Eredivisie has a reputation for being a great for developing players, and many saw Rennes as a fine loan location for Ødegaard as well.

Martinio’s come quite a long way since arriving in Madrid. He debuted in May of 2015 and became the club’s youngest ever senior player at 16 years old, and has since been an integral part of Real Madrid Castilla.
