Bale has re-injured his calf and will be out indefinitely, according to Marca. The Welsh attacker was expected to be available against AS Roma but he might now miss the Madrid Derby against Atlético which will be played in late February.
This has always been a recurrent problem for Gareth Bale and Real Madrid's medical staff. It seems that they are never on the same page as Bale's muscle injuries always take longer than expected to heal. He has a history of injuries on that calf so the doctors should have been careful in order for him to recover properly.
This is definitely bad news for Real Madrid considering how well Bale was playing this season. Los Blancos must earn a win against Atlético and if he finally misses that game they will have to play without one of their best players this season, and Zidane will surely be hoping to see James stepping his game up.
