In a recent interview with L'Equipe, Aubameyang said he dreams of playing for the 10 time European champions.
"My childhood dream is to play for Real Madrid."
"I promised my grandfather, who was from Avila some 110 kilometers away from Madrid, that I would play there. I realise that it would not be easy, but is always in the back of my mind."
The french born striker could well find his way to the Spanish capital this summer, being that Madrid has a fine relationship with Borussia Dortmund and Florentino will have a more pleasant experience in the market bidding for Aubameyang than dealing with Bayern for Lewandowski.
Aubameyang is still a very coveted striker and one that will not be easy to sign even if they want to. Benzema is playing very well and Real Madrid do not need to add much depth to the striker position, so it seems that Aubameyang will need to wait before fulfilling his dream.
