It looks like Zidane Zidane could have all four of his central defenders recovered in time for next Saturday's Derby against Atlético de Madrid. Apparently, Pepe could be ready to feature after recovering from his problems with a plantar fasciitis while Varane will definitely return from his one-game suspension.
Real Madrid are 9 points behind FC Barcelona in the Liga BBVA table so nothing other than pride and the potential second spot in the league will be at stake in that game. Los Blancos have managed to almost lose every chance at the title by February so Zidane should probably start thinking about making rotations every weekend while Los Blancos can still compete in the Champions League.
Pepe's return will be important for the team as Nacho doesn't have the experience to be a dominant force in big games. Varane has also been putting on some mediocre performances while Pepe was out so it will be interesting to see how these two battle for the starting spot.
