Karim Benzema will most likely miss Real Madrid's visit to Levante this Wednesday after being forced to leave the Madrid Derby last Saturday. Benzema had recovered from back and hip issues in time for the Derby but he felt some discomfort during the game and had to be replaced with Borja Mayoral.
Real Madrid should not take any chances with Benzema's recovery. The Liga BBVA title is all but lost now and Los Blancos should try to have Benzema -- and the rest of the squad for that matter -- ready to play in the Champions League matches that will be ahead if Real manage to knock Roma out.
Benzema is Real's only pure attacker and considering that Gareth Bale is also out with an injury Borja Mayoral could have another chance to start next Wednesday, unless Zidane decides to start either Vázquez or Jesé on the left wing and move Ronaldo to the center of Real's offensive line.
