It seems that Robert Lewandowski could be on his way out of Bayern Munich next summer and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in the Polish striker. According to AS, Bayern will not sell Lewandowski for less than €100 million, a transfer fee clearly too expensive for Madrid considering how well Karim Benzema is playing this season.
Is Lewandowski a necessary signing for Real Madrid? He clearly isn't. The Polish attacker is arguably one of the world's best pure strikers but so is Karim Benzema, who has reached his peak this year. Paying €100 million for Lewandowski while keeping the French striker could be problematic down the road, as both of them are good enough to start every game.
Benzema has had problems off the field but Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez has publicly shown his support many times, so it doesn't seem very likely that Madrid will sell the Frenchman next summer.
