Neymar's father admitted yesterday that his son received a big offer to leave Barcelona knowing that any given team paying the €190 million reléase clause on his contract could acquire his talents. He obviously stated that the offer is not from Real Madrid, and understandably so.
However, a report from Spanish daily ABC suggests that it was Real Madrid the club interested in Neymar. The Brazilian attacker could be using Real's reported interest to sign a contract extension with Barcelona, so Real Madrid want Neymar's word before making a move.
This will obviously be a big story next summer as Real would also need to sell one star player -- maybe Cristiano Ronaldo -- to afford Neymar's signing. Will this happen? Probably not, as it would involve a third club interested in paying a big fee for one of Real's stars. Stay tuned for more news of Real Madrid's interest in Neymar.
