Marcelo celebrated his 350th for Real Madrid in style, getting a solid and convincing 4-0 win at the Santiago Bernabéu. After the game, Florentino Pérez gave him a special jersey. Marcelo is the third foreign player with the most games played for Madrid only behind Roberto Carlos and Alfredo Di Stéfano.
"I am very happy. When I arrived here it was unthinkable and I want to keep doing more. I thank my teammates and family because without them it would be impossible. I am turning a dream into a reality and I hope to do so for many more years. it is incredible but I want more and I don't want to stop here," said Marcelo after the game.
Zinedine Zidane also shared his views on Real's 4-0 win in press conference, praising his players' attitude.
"It was a difficult game. I am happy with the players' performances. We are capable of doing great things on this pitch. The players know that. in football all games are different. We must always apply the same intensity and focus. If we do this then I will not be worried," he said.
Bale was visibly happy after the match as well. He was arguably one of Real's best men on the pitch.
"We knew that it would be a difficult game today, we played very good and we have to continue like this in the rest of the games. We're working a lot and we hope to give everything in each game. I'm not going away with the national team, I'll stay here with other players and I'll train to be at 100%."
Real Madrid will now work during this FIFA break to prepare the next Clásico against Barcelona.
