England pulled off an impressive comeback win in Germany when they were down 2-0 in the 57th minute. Real Madrid's own Toni Kroos scored a very beautiful goal with his left foot to open the score for Löw's side, but that wasn't enough to give his team the win as Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane both completed impressive performances in the second half.
Kroos' goal proves that he is capable of playing with more freedom to attack. His first season for Real Madrid as a defensive midfielder for Carlo Ancelotti was very encouraging, but he has not reached that same level of play this season. Casemiro has been an important player for Zidane lately and perhaps that indicates that Kroos will have a new role from now on.
Germany played well throughout the entire first half and Kroos was one of the few reasons why, but England completely deserved the win they got given their brilliant second half of the game. Kroos played the whole game and might get some rest against Italy next week.
