Manchester City want to sign Isco away from Real Madrid

Pep Guardiola will try to sign Isco for his Manchester City project next summer, according to Libertad Digital. City almost managed to sign the Spanish playmaker in the summer of 2013, when he finally joined Real Madrid after a brilliant season for Málaga.

Isco is not performing up to standards this season and Real Madrid could possibly use the money to buy some other players. At the same time, Isco had something to say about a potential departure from Madrid barely two days ago: "They have to sell papers, I am happy in Madrid with Real Madrid and everything's clear. I have two years left on my contract and I want to stay because I am happy here," he said.

Manchester City have plenty of attacking midfielders in the current roster but Guardiola will possibly make a lot of changes once he officially joins the Premier League club. In any case, it seems that Isco could be on his way out of Real Madrid if a good offer comes his way.
