Injury Update: Sergio Ramos

A return to training for the Captain?

According to a press release from Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos returned to training, but he wasn't able to complete a full workout with the team as he went to train on his own.

"The team completed the second training session of the week at the Real Madrid City," the statement said.

"They continue to prepare for the match against Barcelona on Saturday. Sergio Ramos completed the first part of the session with the group before continuing to work indoors."

Isco, Nacho, Luka Modrić, and Mateo Kovacic returned from the break, and got Monday off and returned to training on Tuesday. Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema worked with Zidane during the break as they were not called up for international duty.

As the team ramps towards Saturday's showdown, if Sergio Ramos isn't 100%, it's a pretty sure bet that Nacho gets the nod. Nacho had a pretty damn good international break and walked away without picking up some sort of knock. As much as we need the Captain, if he's not 100% there's no reason to play him.
