Real Madrid will play their most important match of the season when Wolfsburg visit the Santiago Bernabéu. Nobody expected Los Blancos to struggle against the German side and yet Madrid are forced to overcome a 2-0 deficit obtained when they played in Germany a week ago after an extremely discouraging match.
Coach Zinedine Zidane and the players have been confident about the team's chances of making the Semifinals and the fans at the Bernabéu sure feel the same way. However, that could change if Madrid don't play well enough early on, given that they need to play well and score often if they want to beat Wolfsburg.
In order to do so, Zidane could choose to sit Casemiro on the bench and deploy either James or Isco in order to have total control of the ball and the possession, although Madrid could struggle defensively if that happens. Casemiro is expected to start but Zidane will have to make very important decisions tonight.
Real Madrid Projected XI: Navas, Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Wolfsburg Projected XI: Benaglio, Vierinha, Naldo, Dante, Rodríguez, Guilavogui, Gustavo, Henrique, Arnold, Draxler, Schurrle.
