Manchester, Etihad Stadium -- Zinedine Zidane is looking forward to facing Manchester City in the Champions League Semifinals this Tuesday. This is a great opportunity to advance to the Final and that would be a great achievement for Madrid's coach.
Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo were questionable ahead of this match but Zidane said that they should be ready.
"Our plan is that they are going to be ready to play. We will have our training session in a few moments and we will test them, but they will play if nothing strange happens," explained Zidane.
The Frenchman discussed Madrid's chances.
"I think it's a 50/50 game to each team. Our plan is to go out, to try and score and to win. That's always our mentality. We'll do the best we possibly can here. City will put us under pressure and make things hard for us - we're ready for that," said Zidane.
"The opponent is a great side - if you leave City space they can hurt you. The players get between the lines & cause you problems," he added. "We will try to stop De Bruyne, he is in great form and he's shown his quality combining with Agüero and we will definitely try to stop him, because it's very important to keep a clean sheet in a Champions League Semifinal" he added.
"My players are focused enough and this reminds me of the atmosphere and concentration we had in 2014, there's no doubt about that, but we also know that it will be very tough and we saw that against Wolfsburg, you have to stay focused 90 minutes and the same can be said about the return leg, although I'm only thinking about this match now," concluded Zidane.
