MANCHETER -- Big shock for Real Madrid as Cristiano Ronaldo will not make the Starting XI, according to a report from Radio Marca. The Portuguese attacker tested his hamstring injury during yesterday's training but didn't feel like he was ready to go, even though his training session started well.
It now remain to be seen who will replace him in Real's Starting XI, with Lucas Vazquez, James, Isco and Jese all having options.
Cristiano Ronaldo should be ready to start in the return leg next Wednesday, according to that report. However, Zidane said during yesterday's pre-match press conference that the Portuguese start was feeling "100% ready" and the same could happen next week if he doesn't get enough rest on his hamstring.
Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema will have to step up their game now, with the Welshman looking in good form after the two goals he scored against Rayo last weekend.
