With Barakaldo picking up a win yesterday, it put the pressure on Castilla to keep pace as the season starts to come to a close and the playoffs loom ahead.

Real Madrid Castilla would come out pressing the visiting side Leioa. The scoring would open in the 12th minute as Terejo sent a cross into the box for Cedres a Leioa defender went to a avoid the strike turning it into his own net. An own-goal started Castilla off on the right foot and a march towards three points at Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium. Unfortunately Coach Ramis had to make a change in the 15th minute as Salto picked up a knock, Dani Fernández would come in to replace him.

Castilla would keep up the pressure on Leioa who were well organized on defense keeping the hounds at bay. Leioa would start to get organized on offense too taking shots at distance putting Carlos Abad to work on the other end of the pitch. But they wouldn't be able to crack the code and the score would remain 1-0 heading into to the half.

After the re-start RM Castilla would come out firing on all cylinders looking to add to the score line. Febas had a shot at adding to the goal total with a cracking long range shot that didn't go in. While Castilla were putting on the pressure and owning the pitch for most of the game, Leioa was able to get forward. On one such occasion they were finally able to hit the back of the net making the score 1-1. With the away side picking up a goal Ramis and his men went into full attack mode looking to pick up all three points, leaving nothing behind.

Castilla would break the tie in the 86th minute as Mariano would make some late game magic and score his 23rd goal of the season to put the Whites up 2-1. And that would be the way the score would remain as Madrid's b-side pick up a very much needed three points and are now just two points off the leaders Barakaldo.
